All Roads Lead to Londinium!

This minor tourist attraction was literally at the centre of things! London Stone is theorised to have represented the centre of authority and the starting point to measure distances in Roman Britain. This was known as a millerium, one of many across Roman Europe. According to legend, however, the value of the stone may be for more than tracking miles. Mythical King Brutus of Troy may have said: “So long as the Stone of Brutus is safe, so long shall London flourish”. So the capital better keep it safe!
